The Scoop

Alcohol again varies because of so many factors.. yet again another advantage to brew your own.. the more you ferment and the higher sugar amount you use when doing a second bottling (like adding additional fruit juice when you bottle) will determine alcohol levels.. that and the fact the when you leave it stored in the bottle at room temps it will continue to ferment - I would say even if you wanted to have a higher alcohol content is would not exceed 1.5% == remember a beer is around 4.5% per 12 ounces - so even if you are drinking 24 ounces a day it is still about way less than one beer AND this is assuming crazy high alcohol content.

I can not think of a better reason, than to make the decision to give home brewing a try today (uh, well, besides that it is also a fraction of the cost, healthier for you and a heck of a lot more fun).
