The Basics
Honeybush hails from the cape of South Africa. It shares many of the same qualities of Rooibos. Many people think that it comes from the same plant, but it does not.

Honeybush is naturally caffeine free and makes an excellent substitute "tea' source for brewing caffeine free kombucha. It is subtly sweeter than rooibos and gets its name from the gentle honey aroma it produces when brewed.

Ok. So you just prepared some hot water to pour over your Honeybush tea and just then the phone rings, or nature calls, or you have to go downstairs to put in the laundry. If this was green tea you would have about a 1 to 3 minute window of time to do your extracurricular activities before your tea goes to bitter city.

But you know you can Relax, cause Honeybush has a very low tannin content making it much more forgiving to over steeping. In fact, some people steep Rooibos and Honeybush tea for up to 7 minutes.

So go ahead, take that phone call, urinate as long as you want, and by all means separate your delicate clothes from you socks and underwear... you got the time, you're drinking Honebush.
