The Basics
Just like traditional Rooibos, Green Rooibos comes from the South African Red Bush Plant. It is naturally caffeine free and also makes a wonderful alternative to tea if one desires to brew caffeine free kombucha.

"So what's the difference between Red Rooibos and Green Rooibos"?

Well, the difference follows very closely to the difference between black and green tea. Green Rooibos is NOT oxidized, giving it a less astringent taste. The tea also enjoys a higher amount of antioxidants, particularly aspalathin and nothofagin.

The Good Stuff (Impress Your Friends.)
When I was in third grade I was playing with a friend of mine in his back yard. We were pretending to be in the army and had sticks as pretend weapons.

When he was securing the front yard, I was ambushed by an invisible make believe man who pinned me down to the ground. I screamed out to my friend, "Help, Help, I'm being attacked". (keep in mind we were playing make believe, so there really wasn't an enemy on top of me).

BUT... I guess I was a convincing actor... Because (wait for it, and I promise this did happen to me with my friend Aaron Alberti)...

All of a sudden he ran into the backyard saying, "I'm coming to help you". He then proceeded to throw his stick directly at my face and it hit me sqaure into the tip of my nose (from a Marksman point of view it was nothing short of remarkable).

I began gushing blood and started to cry. When he realized that his stick went through the invisible attacker and he hit his comrade, he also began to cry. This was simultaneously one of the saddest and funniest moments in my life.

It has nothing to do with Green Rooibos.
